My first Susan Branch book was Heart of The Home I bought it at a small decorating store near my home in 1986, cooked many of the recipes and loved it I purchased the new 30th Anniversary Edition thinking it would make a great birthday gift for my mother And it very well might, but I am keeping both of them

Branch revised and expanded her original 1986 version with new watercolor illustrations and a few new recipes She kept the original format, charming illustrations and hand written script, with recipes that are accessible to most cooks Branch does admit that the ingredients that were exotic in 1986 are now readily available in her small town grocery store Susan Branch fans will love this new version of her first cookbook.

This is Susan s first book I have just recently read her latest, A Fine Romance Falling in Love with the English Countryside I ADORED that one, and I really liked this one too It s a cookbook with all seasons of recipes, many of which I d love to make Her artwork and hand lettering of the entire book are amazing She does the artwork and hand letters ALL of her books.
