  2. This medical mystery is a great and entertaining read I m working my way chronologically through Peter Clement s books, and this is number 2 for me I found it a bit long and the pace a bit jumpy, with long descriptive sections suddenly appearing in the middle of an otherwise fast moving episode Still, characters and plot were better developed than in his first book I look forward to reading his other books.

  3. This is a well written, well researched medical mystery centering in two busy hospitals in Buffalo, New York I like this author s writing style, the way he made me feel like a part of the hospital staff both in the board room and in the emergency room I made a point of getting the rest of the books in this series and am really looking forward to reading them.

  4. With that cover I knew I was going to love this medical thriller but I was disappointed Obviously, the medical information was datedbut I m a mystery reader who likes to be surprised and I wasn t.

  5. Definitely better than Lethal Practice, even if he s running into the same problem as Goldberg and his Joanna Blalock books How many murders and serial killers can there be in one hospital or maybe two every year

  6. It was a fun read I love medical thrillers and the insight into a hospital environment The killer was pretty obvious to me, making this less suspenseful than his other books, but I still enjoyed it.

  7. A thriller about one of my favorite themesMean cruel people get paid back In this case however, they are getting killed Not my choice, but made for great reading Loose ends get tied up nicely.

  8. Found the plot of this novel rivitting, and it always kept me on the edge of my seat a fictional plot that s so close to the truth it s frighteningly tantalizing.

  9. Just starting to get into this series but love it so far I like medical thrillers if they seem real, nce he is armer doc he really shows the dark side Love it
