  1. If you enjoy reading books which take you on exciting, not to be believed adventures, if stories lines weaving Egyptian mythology and fantasy into our world of today capture your interest, and if the ultimate adventure the epic battle of good versus evil is a favorite theme of yours, then THE OUSIAS, by first time author DARRYL SPEARMAN, is definitely something you should read As I read through the book the characters and action filled scenes came to life and I kept thinking what a great movie t [...]

  2. Won The Ousias on What a very well written story about Egyptian mythology and fantasy It s on of those books that you just can t put down and one that has you hoping Mr Spearman will write a sequel to.

  3. For any fan of Egyptian mythology, this book is a great read It was not the most well written grammar wise but the story line makes up for that.I recommend this book.

  4. I received a copy of this from First Reads My review has not been influenced. The premise and plot of the book is interesting, if a bit similar to Rick Riordan s Kane Chronicles Mythology is really popular right now in books, so that s a plus. However, I think there are three issues with this book.1 There are so, so many grammar and sentence structure errors I read a lot of Indie books, so I m fairly used to them Even so, there were several times in this book I had to re read a sentence two or thr [...]

  5. I started out reading this book and thinking it looks interesting enough, why not try it out However, in the first couple of paragraphs, I felt a sense of d j vu Although the author has obviously tried to make this novel unique, I definitely think the plot is too clich for the modern era Rick Riordan, for example, is a top selling author whose main focus is mythology The Lightning Thief series was one of a few mythological series Riordan has written successfully The writing in this novel was oka [...]

  6. I will admit that the story line was interesting and frequently had me at the edge of my seat The reason I m rating it so low is that the grammar was so poor it was incredibly distracting I ve read my fair share of books and I realize that mistakes are inevitable, but this was absolutely ridiculous At one point I noticed 3 mistakes in one paragraph alone I will admit that my grammar isn t perfect, but this drove me nuts

  8. I thought it was a good book story wise There were a lot of grammar mistakes that sometimes made it difficult to read I would have to read the sentence over to figure out what they were trying to say received the book for free through Giveaway
