  1. Regency Romance is not what I normally read but this book is Spritely and well written with some interesting twists to the plot, worth reading 12th night in a ball gown, enchanting.

  2. Regency masquerade is an incredibly fun regency romp It was the kind of intelligent adventure that would make Henry Fielding proud It was a sheer joy to read There are also many twists and turns, that you can never anticipate what is to come next Full of witty banter and one liners, the cleverness of this book shines out.I honestly think I need to read this book again because I am sure I missed out on some of the truly cunning subtlety the first time Vera Loy didn t so much as write this novel, [...]

  5. I had difficulty putting this one down and I don t read romance, as a rule.So to find Peter Francis a character I already liked from the beginning wasn t a man at all, I thought of my favourite Shakespeare play, Twelfth Night Yet the style was like something out of one of Jane Austen s books, as the title tells you exactly when it s set Regency England. While maintaining a careful balance between description, romance and action, Vera Loy kept me riveted from start to finish.Poor, confused Richar [...]

  6. Regency Masquerade was a lot of fun to read A lot The plot is exciting, the characters engaging Aaand lo and behold it s historically accurate language, settings, everything feels right Which is a relief There s nothing annoying than to read a Regency prim Lady rolling her eyes THERE IS NO SEX IN IT, guys But there is excitement, and teasing, and flirting And plot twists, and mysteries, and danger, and secrets Actually, I kind of feel like re reading it again, right know

  7. This was a fun read for me I am a major fan of Regency based books, and who doesn t like a tale that involves masquerading as the opposite sex Frances adventures as a young man are engaging, especially in her dealings with Richard Carleton I laughed aloud at many points, and the mystery elements kept me intrigued.I look forward to reading by this author.

  8. Found Another Good RegencyPeter Francis first meets Lord Carleton when he saves him from a group of thugs who are trying to rob him Carleton, of course, is grateful and presses Peter to have a drink with him Against his better judgement, Peter finally agrees and the two men go to Lord Carleton s rented house.Carleton seems determined to pursue a friendship with Peter, and it isn t long before Peter becomes part of Carleton s life I won t ruin the story for future readers, but merely say that Pet [...]
